I say this from personal experience… don’t shut out ALL social interaction just because you are afraid of getting off track. I not only avoided parties and nights on the town, but I avoided normal “hang outs” too because I was afraid of giving in to temptation. Over time, I learned how to loosen up without giving in entirely… while these options might not work for everyone, they worked for ME. =)
Offer to grab coffee with a friend. Get a regular coffee or some tea. The great thing about cafe’s is there is no need to eat anything crummy to feel like you are still indulging with your friend! If you really want to eat something, most coffee places have nuts and fresh fruits available!
If your friends want to go to a restaurant, check out the menu in advance! Most restaurants offer their menu options online these days. That way, you can figure out which restaurant has the healthiest options, so you can recommend it to your friends! Once you’re there, make sure to drink plenty of water, offer to split something with someone (restaurant portions are often massive), and skip the dessert.
To avoid temptation in party-environments, eat before you leave! Don’t plan to arrive anywhere hungry, or you will be more likely to munch on chips, candies and cookies that might be laying out. Also, consider bringing a baggy of almonds or something small to snack on in case you get really hungry!Like I said, while these might not work for everyone, they worked for me. I was able to stay on track with my healthy eating, while still enjoying time spent with friends who are not as fitness-minded as I came to be. =)

Massage helped a little, hoping it’ll be all good by Sunday (fingers crossed)
Painkillers might be helping a lot as well.
To keep my hopes up, went to check out new climbing shoes after physio. Think I have an idea which pair to get, will need to try it again a few more times.
Going to the library tomorrow to check out books on climbing.
Damn body will just have to learn to recover eh?
